We understand. Life can be challenging and overwhelming. You might constantly strive for joy and peace, and nevertheless feel stuck, alone, and unwell. You might be doing all the right things and yet feel a void in your life. You may be doing your best to get ahead in your career and relationships and find that the past still drags you down. Perhaps you are successful in many regards, but still feel a deep inner sense of aloneness and shame.

What if there was another way? What if the stressors and pressures that life inevitably brings did not bring you completely down? What if instead you were able to emotionally navigate these times and situations with calm and a balanced outlook? What if, rather than be quick to criticize yourself, you could nurture a sense of self awareness, compassion and even self-love?

We believe that we all have the capacity to change and that change happens when we begin to explore our feelings and experiences in the safety of a warm and trusting relationship. In our psychotherapy practice, we strive to create that safe and trusting environment for you.

Services:

Initial Session

We offer a complimentary 30 minute introductory session. This session is for us to get to know one another and to determine if we are a good fit for working together. This is a time where we can answer questions you might have about psychotherapy. There is no obligation to book further sessions.

Psychotherapy Session(s)
Together we explore and process issues and concerns that may be troubling you. The sessions are conversational and we work at the pace that feels safe. We will work with you towards identifying and meeting your short and/or long-term goals. Our approach is client-centred and we work on the material you bring in. We work collaboratively and both bring in our insight and reflections.

Clinical Supervision & Consultation

Our site supervisor, Paula Ruiz (RP), provides clinical supervision to psychotherapy trainees and graduates.  Paula’s approach is supportive and collaborative.  She provides case consultation and support trainees to become safe and effective psychotherapists. She meets all the supervisory requirements set out by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and stay current on best practice standards.

​Fees
Fees are discussed during our initial free consultation session. If you require sliding scale pricing please inquire about availability.  

Insurance Coverage
At the moment, psychotherapy is not covered under OHIP. Some private insurance plans may cover psychotherapy services from a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). We strongly advise that you inquire with your insurance company about coverage before commencing any treatment.
